Spring 2008 Project
Another year, another exciting semester hurray! This semester I propose to have the girls in my core and whoever else is willing, join us for a fun night on campus attending a school sponsored event of our choice like comet night and others. This should be every other week. This activity should give us the chance to participate in the student life at UTD and should be focused on being willing and able to meet and include other students and to be excited about activities on campus. This activity will be evaluated monthly to see if it is proving productive and changes will be made as needed. For now, let us get our smiles on and meet some people. Whooooooooooosh!

Maloa I think that is an awesome idea! I think it would be really great to get our core hanging out with each other more outside of Monday nights. Don't be afraid to really challenge those gals about involvement, or to pick an event that may not be everyone's favorite...we need to be pushed! I also like that you are planning to evaluate your project as you go. So wise...you must be a graduate :)
This is stuff I remember doing a couple of times. I like it because it stuff that you don't need to plan for. You just show up, meet new people and have a great time.
I like the idea a lot. I get tired of hearing people complain about how "there's nothing to do on campus" and "everyone at UTD is anti-social" but not getting out there and attending themselves. People, not activities, make events fun.
Keep the ministry posted on cool things happening on campus. We definitely need some encouragement from time to time to be involved!
Yeah I really like this idea!!! You go girl!
Hey Maloa
Just wondering how your project is going, what events you've gotten to go to, anything cool or excited or have you met any neat people. I know I was much more involved in things happening on campus last year because we pushed that in our Core some, about getting out of our Christian community to meet people. I started out this year good, trying to go to things, but through the busyness of life, I find it hard to fit those things in. I want to be a little more more like Melissa...being involved and a part of so much that is happening on campus. ;-)
